Cheap Monday +
Faustine Steinmetz

Spring 2016 sees Swedish jeanswear brand Cheap Monday join forces with innovative designer Faustine Steinmetz to create a limited edition collection of bold, unique pieces, which draw on the philosophy and character of both brands. The collaboration developed when Cheap Monday’s Head Denim Designer Carl Malmgren was impressed by Faustine’s methods of re-working classic, denim archetypes into something new and totally unique. Seeing parallels in Cheap Monday through the different textures, surfaces and ripped, trashed and detailed finishing’s, Carl was compelled to get in touch. For Faustine, who was dressed head to toe in Cheap Monday as a teenager, a collaboration with Cheap Monday was a natural and desired partnership. A joint passion for denim provided an attraction and connection between the two brands that was visible from the offset and presented the perfect foundation upon which to create a collection.
